The craftman is primarily a creative, and as such he or she is restless and curious. He or she likes to learn new techniques, experiment with them and combine them with related techniques.

Thus the free weaving without loom emerged, from the combination between taaniko (Maori without loom weaving) and high-warp weaving (vertical loom).
